Schlagwort: Ethics

«Responsible AI» In der Praxis

Many companies are currently developing and implementing Artificial Intelligence (AI) models for various business applications. In addition to the technical (how to do it?) and economical (is it worth it?) challenges, companies are also struggling with ethical and legal issues associated with the practical use of AI.

In this event, experts from various companies will present practical AI use cases and demonstrate how they have handled ethical and legal challenges associated with chatbots, AI analysis tools or AI-based marketing:

  • Christoph Bräunlich, BSI
  • Daniel Dobos, Swisscom
  • Max Reichen, Liip
  • Philipp Fischer, Walbusch

Join us for a pleasurable apéro afterwards!

Important: the event will be in German

The event is jointly organized by the data innovation alliance (Data Ethics Expert Group), the DSI Ethics Community and the Swiss Academy of Engineering Sciences SATW.

Public Event of the Data Ethics Expert Group – Planning Workshop

We invite all members of the data innovation alliance and also external partners to contribute to a planning workshop. In this workshop, we will shape the content of two public events in 2025 that address pressing issues in data and AI with a particular focus on startups and companies active in the field. The goal of these events is to provide both an overview on relevant topic and to show concrete options for responsible data-based value creation. At the event, we will also update you on other activities of the Data Ethics Expert group and indicate funding possibilities (AI Booster) in order to turn some of the pressing questions into solution-oriented projects.

The workshop takes place on Wednesday February 19 from 16:30 to 18:00 at the Digital Society Initiative of the University of Zurich (Rämistrasse 69). Please register below if you plan to participate until Monday February 17.

If you are unable to attend, please provide your ideas in this short survey, where you also can rate proposed topics – the results will be used also in the planning workshop:

If possible, provide your feedback until Monday February 17 2025.

Webinar: 12. Learn & Lunch – Challenges for SMEs: How can responsible AI be used as a competitive advantage (Deutsch)

Due to rising social expectations and new laws on the responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI), it is becoming increasingly important for companies to ensure the trustworthiness and ethical acceptability of AI applications. However, instead of viewing these requirements merely as a challenge, they also offer companies the opportunity to innovate and differentiate themselves from the competition. The aim of this event is to jointly explore the business challenges in the area of responsible AI. It will also discuss how companies can proactively use these requirements to tap into new innovation opportunities and position themselves sustainably in the market.

Organized by GRdigital in cooperation with the Focus Topic Responsible AI and Expert Group Data Ethics, of the data innovation alliance
